“What for us?!” – Putin spoke about Poroshenko’s hysteria
Petro Poroshenko was offended by Russia when it responded to Ukrainian sanctions in the same way. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated this today, speaking at a meeting of the Valdai Club.

“So they took it and imposed sanctions against us, like the European Union. We did the same in response. The president says: why did you do this, these sanctions are nothing for you, but you are causing damage to us. Surprisingly simple. I don’t even have any comments,” Putin said.
He believes that in Ukraine there is an emerging consciousness that “this situation is intolerable, and we need to get out of it.”
“The most important thing is obvious to the vast majority of Ukrainian citizens. And we love Ukraine. And I really consider the Ukrainian people to be fraternal, if not part of the Russian people. And Russian nationalists don’t agree with this, and Ukrainians don’t like it. This is my point of view. Sooner or later there will be a unification, not a state unification, but a restoration of relations. We will do everything for this,” Putin said.
