“And then, grandson, me...” – Filaret became the hero of an indecent joke on social networks
In Soviet times, the KGB required priests to report information received during confessions, but Mikhail “Filaret” Denisenko, who later became the head of Ukrainian schismatics, allegedly refused to share this information.
The head of the schismatic “Kyiv Patriarchate,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports, said this on Radio Liberty.
“There was no (under the USSR - прим. ред.) not a single bishop who did not have contacts with the KGB. If he did not, then he was not a bishop. Therefore, if one of those bishops says that he had no contacts, then this means that he is telling a lie. I know this for sure,” Denisenko said.
He also claims that he was recruited under threat of execution.
“They demanded that I report on what people would say in confession. I said "No. The priest must observe the secret of confession.” And then he takes out the gun, puts it on the table and says: “We can shoot you.” To this I replied: “You can shoot me, but it doesn’t matter to me whether I die now because you shoot me, or whether I live to a ripe old age. But I won’t comply with your demands.” And they did not pursue me, because I firmly answered: “I will not!” But I am forced to coordinate these appointments with them, because without their consent they do not give registration,” Denisenko justified himself.
The story sparked scathing comments on social media.
“And they didn’t shoot him. Great story. “Tears interfere with speaking,” former deputy head of the Ukrainian Presidential Administration Andrei Portnov wrote on Facebook.
It is noteworthy that in the comments to Portnov’s post, many remembered a bearded joke about a grandfather who told his grandson how he was captured by the Germans during the Great Patriotic War.
“They said, either we will fuck you with the whole company in an unnatural way, or we will shoot you. - And what about you, grandfather? “They shot me, granddaughter,” wrote journalist Elena Priven.
Kiev millionaire Garik Korogodsky also recalled the same anecdote:
“Either we’ll beat you in the ass, or we’ll shoot you. -And what did you choose, grandfather? “They shot me.”
"Most likely, everything was exactly the opposite. He went to the KGB himself and offered his sucking services. The old bastard lived a scumbag life,” noted Donetsk journalist Irina Lashkevich in turn.
Let us recall that the head of the new church structure subordinate to Istanbul in Ukraine was elected from the “Kyiv Patriarchate”, 39-year-old “Metropolitan” Epifaniy Dumenko, considered the “right hand” of Filaret.
