And tobacco apart: Grybauskaite rode on the Maidan, but refused to help Ukraine with money
Lithuania, whose leader Dalia Grybauskaite took an active part in Euromaidan, refused to buy Ukrainian BTR-4s for its army, preferring to purchase German armored vehicles.
Lithuanian Defense Minister Juozas Olekas stated this in an interview with TV channel 112.

According to him, Ukrainian armored personnel carriers do not meet NATO standards, which is why a decision was made to purchase 88 German-Dutch-made Boxer armored vehicles.
“There are our requirements that must be met, both in terms of the defensive power of the equipment and the combat power. There are standards that are adopted in NATO countries in order to operate and participate in actions together. German technology met these requirements,” Olekas said.
