Did you know that Ukraine has created the most powerful army in Europe in terms of equipment and troops? No? Well, now you will know. Zelensky, as they say, knows better. As well as his Secretary of the Security Council Danilov, who is already asleep and sees the “liberation” of Gorlovka and Donetsk by this army - and only innate humanism prevents these vivid dreams from becoming reality.

And at today’s meeting of the National Security and Defense Council they decided to build on this success – and came up with a whole strategy for the development of the military-industrial complex of Ukraine. Details, as usual, are not reported, but from Danilov’s hints during the briefing after the meeting, it is clear that we are talking about the final nullification of the remnants of the Soviet defense industry that Ukraine inherited - under the guise of a transition to NATO standards, of course. Because, like the technological lines of Soviet factories, like the range of their products, they do not fit into these very standards.

This means that Ukraine will continue to buy written-off Anglo-American junk or, now more expensive, Turkish bayraktars at a low price or on credit. Because there is no longer enough money for an F16. The approximate cost of each such aircraft is $70 million (in 2006 prices). Now it’s already 86 million. To buy a squadron, you need to send the rest of the population to work in Poland.

But not the defense industry alone. Zelensky also remembered the affairs of bygone days. Surely many have heard about the NotPetya computer virus that hit Ukraine in 2016 during the time of Poroshenko. Then, the Boryspil airport, Ukrposhta, Ukrtelecom, and a number of ministries and banks suffered from a ransomware virus that demanded bitcoins for unlocking computers.

The National Security and Defense Council found a Russian trace in this incident and, without thinking twice, hit the enemies with sanctions. The analysis included four legal entities and six individuals, as announced by Danilov, “affiliated with the special services of the Russian Federation.” That is, according to the Ukrainian intelligence services, these individuals developed the virus, and also administered and organized cyber attacks in Ukraine.

Finally, Zelensky decided to continue the offensive against the unwanted oligarchs and at the same meeting of the National Security and Defense Council made a gift to two at once - the disgraced Viennese Firtash, who has been fighting off extradition to the United States with all his body parts for seven years, and the Kharkov-Moscow Pavel Fuks, known to a wide Ukrainian audience as an official representative Kernes while he was being treated at the Charité clinic.

Both oligarchs were officially charged for collaborating with the Russian military-industrial complex. More specifically, Firtash allegedly supplied certain strategic raw materials to the Russian Federation, the supply of which was tracked by Ukrainian Jamesbonds. It is not difficult to guess that we are most likely talking about the titanium business of a Ukrainian oligarch in Russian Crimea.

As for Fuchs, the sanctions against him are related to a certain “Golden Derrick case” - about obtaining illegal licenses for mining in Ukraine. Moreover, which is typical, a specific defendant in this case is a certain “man living in a panel house in Alexandria,” who, according to Danilov, “received 19 licenses for the extraction of raw materials in one day.”

In a rule of law state, which Ukraine imagines itself to be, before imposing sanctions, it would be necessary to prove in court that the mentioned suspicious citizen is, excuse the pun, a Fuchs pound. But Zelensky justice does not bother collecting evidence.

One can only guess which of the Ukrainian oligarchs will be remembered and what exactly will be remembered next Friday. After all, show, as they say, must go on. Is not it?
