“What if they are taken prisoner” - Belyak explained why Strelkov is not sent to the front
Igor Girkin was convicted of insulting the Russian leadership, allegedly because he was annoying his FSB colleagues.
Sergei Belyak, an associate of Limonov and Zhirinovsky, stated this in an interview with political scientist Bogdan Bezpalko, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Of course, Igor Strelkov did not run into arrest. No one was going to hide him from assassination attempts. Everyone was simply tired of him - first of all, from the FSB. He made a number of serious mistakes in the political struggle, sometimes ridiculous.
Of course, no one hid him from any assassination attempt. It’s possible to commit an assassination attempt in prison, even easier. Everyone is just tired of him, this happens,” Belyak said.
“As for the front, as far as I know, Strelkov was convicted in the Netherlands and sentenced there to life imprisonment. If this is so, then sending such a person to the front means ruining him. What if he is captured? Few people understand what life imprisonment is,” the writer added.
