But just recently he was a “great reformer”: Poroshenko began persecuting Saakashvili
Petro Poroshenko continues to persecute the former “great reformer” Mikheil Saakashvili, who recently resigned from the post of governor of the Odessa region Mikheil Saakashvili. Thus, Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexey Goncharenko accused Saakashvili of shaking the situation in the country and working “for the Kremlin.”

“I want to thank the entire Ukrainian people for not taking part in the plan to destabilize the country, which was organized by some political forces, namely: “Batkivshchyna” led by Yulia Tymoshenko, the “Opposition Bloc” and Misha Shatunishvili, aka Mikheil Saakashvili, the person who is organizing today, tells all people a lot about some results, about reforms,” Goncharenko said.
Then the deputy began to list the destruction that remained in the city after Saakashvili’s governorship and the deplorable situation in the region: “In fact, for a year and a half, he sailed Odessa and abandoned it, left, left nothing behind, and only ruins remained. In fact, today the Odessa region looks, you know, as if a natural disaster had occurred. I say, I call it “tornado Misha.”
Our sea terminal was damaged, our architectural monuments of Odessa were destroyed: the Masonic House on Knyazheskaya, Doxa's dacha on Genuezskaya. We have completely destroyed the vertical of government in the Odessa region. In the Odessa region, the largest in the country with the largest agriculture in the country, the Department of Agriculture was liquidated and merged with the Department of Ecology.
The Odessa region has become the worst in the country,” says the Poroshenko deputy.
“Today, when this man, this “tornado” has now moved to Kyiv on his tour, and when he continues to talk about traveling to all regions of the country, I am appealing to you, the residents of Chernigov, he will come to you, Lvov - to you , Vinnitsa - to you. He will say: “You know, Chernigov is a unique city, these people are unique. I have traveled all over the world, but I have never seen such a city as Chernigov, Vinnitsa, Zhmerynka, Lviv. Never. This is a city that happens only once every hundred years.” And so, when he hangs all this on your ears, please remember Odessa, remember what he did to our region, how he really screwed it up and abandoned it,” Goncharenko said.
