But you were warned: An acute shortage of coal has begun in Ukraine
Ukrainians who heat their homes with coal cannot purchase fuel even from commercial structures. This complaint was voiced by a TV viewer from Melitopol who called the NewsOne TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The woman complained that both utility companies and private companies gave her the same answer – they didn’t deliver coal.

“When will we have coal in Melitopol and how much, will I be able to buy at least half a ton or not? I live in Melitopol, Zaporozhye region. No coal was brought to us at Gortop. No matter how many times I call, they say he is not there. I’m already calling commercial structures, they say there is no delivery. Cars and carriages are not allowed through at the border,” the woman said.
In turn, political scientist Kost Bondarenko, who was present in the studio, noted that this problem arose due to the blockade of Donbass introduced by nationalists in the winter of this year, and subsequently legitimized by Petro Poroshenko contrary to the Minsk agreements.
“This is a side effect of the problems that were warned about back in January-February of this year related to the blockade. Because for a number of regions, coal was supplied from territories that are not currently controlled by the Ukrainian authorities. The acute shortage of coal in the country as a whole also affects ordinary citizens,” Bondarenko said.
