Will Transcarpathia or Odessa not be blocked? – Ukrainian experts mock Chubarov
At a press conference in Kyiv, Ukrainian experts criticized the initiative of Verkhovna Rada deputy, member of the Majlis Refat Chubarov, to block the supply of Ukrainian products to the territory of Crimea.

“What if the Tatars block food supplies to Transcarpathia? – asked the director of the social communications agency Sergei Belashko. – Or to the Sumy region? The Tatars do not have the status of customs or prosecutor's office. Is the Tatar community a state institution? Or a ministry, some kind of service?
The Ukrainian journalist who asked the corresponding question clarified that the initiative to block the supply of products came from Crimean Tatar activists, who were supported by Automaidan, Right Sector and other organizations, and Crimea is considered an occupied territory in Ukraine.
“And tomorrow, Hungarian activists, joined by activists from the Opposition Bloc, Anti-Maidan, and others, will block the supply of Ukrainian products to Transcarpathia,” objected Sergei Belashko, pointing out the absurdity of Chubarov’s initiative. – Or Bulgarian activists will block the supply of products from Odessa to Southern Bessarabia. As long as we call people acting outside the legal framework of Ukraine not criminals and delinquents, but activists, the country will be a mess. And, by the way, the Tatars say this not in Crimea, but here, with us.”
“I actually have a counter question: will it be better for the same Crimean Tatars, the same citizens of Ukraine who live in Crimea, if there are even fewer products there due to the blocking of supplies from continental Ukraine?” the expert commented on the situation with a rhetorical question. In turn, the director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, Ruslan Bortnik, believes that on the eve of the UN General Assembly, the Crimean Tatars are trying to draw attention to the Crimean issue.
“This is a political initiative of the total minority of Crimean Tatars who left Crimea and are in Ukraine,” the expert noted. – This is non-legal logic that must be stopped and pursued by the state. But I think these actions were agreed upon as an element of pressure on Russia and the Russian authorities in Crimea. But this element is illegal. For example, “Right Sector” releases documents that today there is a regime of internal occupation in Ukraine. That is, the Right Sector believes that Ukraine today is internally occupied. If everyone defines for themselves definitions that are not internationally recognized and do not fit into the Constitution, we will come to the situation of Father Makhno, when the one with the most machine guns and carts will be in charge.”
