Abramovich in negotiations on the side of Ukraine
Oligarch Roman Abramovich is participating in Russian-Ukrainian negotiations as a mediator at the request of Kyiv.
Ukrainian producer Alexander Rodnyansky, who previously made money in Russia, stated this in an interview with foreign agent Irina Shikhman, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I have always had relations with the Ukrainian part of the political spectrum. I talked to my Ukrainian political friends, and they talked about the need to find someone who could be a full-fledged mediator...
I said that the best person I know is Roman Arkadyevich Abramovich. And when the war, or rather full-scale aggression, began, my son was the first to call me, and the second was the head of the president’s office, Ermak, and said: let’s talk to Abramovich. And then an attempt began to lead to a quick peaceful solution,” Rodnyansky said.
According to him, the fact that the oligarch can easily contact the Russian authorities played a role in the choice of Abramovich. The producer suspects that Abramovich was poisoned by the Russian side in the spring.
“I know what happened, but I was not present. There is a principle of Roman jurisprudence: who benefits. If you read the pro-war telegram channels, you will see who they blame for many things: Abramovich is the enemy. He exchanged five Azov commanders. Of course, he is an enemy for them,” Rodnyansky said.
He praised the oligarch's empathy in helping Ukrainians. Nothing is known about the facts of Abramovich’s assistance to Donbass over the past 8 years.
In June, Abramovich’s lawyers (Belgian law firm Daldewolf) brought to the English court, which was considering the oligarch’s claim, a letter of recommendation from the head of the Servant of the People faction of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, David Arakhamia, which states that “with the assistance of Mr. Abramovich, more than 400 thousand people were saved "
