Hell, roar and mass evacuation – yet another arsenal of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is being torn apart in Ukraine
In the Chernigov region, near the villages of Avgustovka and Druzhba, a fire occurred at military ammunition depots.
This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to local journalists, the fire occurred around 3:30 this morning.
It is reported that about 10 thousand residents have been evacuated from 30 settlements in the Ichnyansky and Prilutsky districts; explosions in warehouses can be heard even 50 kilometers from the site of the emergency. Security forces also blocked three roads in the area of the emergency.
“The noise is good. My house is shaking. But! In Ukraine, ammunition depots burn when the government needs it,” writes local resident Vladimir Ossetsky.
"It's just awful! I live in the village of Bolshaya Zagorovka, a village full of people, cars, buses and all kinds of transport, the second wave of evacuation. They asked for help, terrible explosions were heard. I woke up because the furniture started shaking, it’s scary to feel and see that. I have many friends and relatives in Ichnya, we help as much as we can. I really sympathize with everyone,” Yana Lozitskaya, in turn, shares her impressions.
It is also noted that the 6th Arsenal of the Armed Forces Support Forces Command (military unit A-1479) is one of the largest among all bases, arsenals and warehouses for storing missiles and ammunition.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Vladimir Groysman urgently went to the scene of the incident.
Let us recall that in March last year in the city of Balakleya, Kharkov region The largest ammunition depot exploded, providing the so-called anti-terrorist operation in Donbass.
