“Adequate” Ukraine: Trade with Russia and Bandera behind the curtain
In the fifth year after the coup in Ukraine, the local political scene was finally stratified into the direct beneficiaries of the new order and those who, having played a significant role in the first stage of the “revolution,” were later pushed away from the administrative and financial trough. These include, first of all, the oligarchic group “Privat” of Igor Kolomoisky.

Having seized a lot of resources in the spring of 2014, the “Privatovites” could afford to spend a considerable penny on a political superstructure in the form of mushrooming parties and organizations of various kinds - from the intoxicatingly patriotic, even nauseating “Ukrop” to the huddled remnants of the “regionals” "from the Vidrodzhennia party, which electorally covered the orphaned and disoriented east of the country.
Moreover, Kolomoisky himself already demonstrated his complete political omnivorousness and readiness to lay his eggs in baskets placed in diametrically opposite corners of the political ring.
Suffice it to recall a recording of a conversation circulating on the Internet several years ago, during which the co-owner of Privat, and then the governor of the Dnepropetrovsk region, offered the prankster, who introduced himself as one of the leaders of the Russian Spring in Donbass, all kinds of assistance, money and five seats in the future Verkhovna Rada.
However, in the Maiden circles the meme “patriot Kolomoisky” did not suffer even after such an obvious demonstration of political omnivorousness.
When the Kyiv actions of Saakashvili, who was undermining the presidency, began, the version about “Benya’s trace” became no less popular than the officially voiced GPU version about “Kurchenko’s money”, allegedly financing the “Mikhomaidan” booth. We all remember how Lyashkovite Mosiychuk, waving his crutch, screamed hysterically in the TV studio, addressing the “cheerful Georgian”: “How much money are you taking from Kolomoisky, you freak?”
Regular, albeit unsubstantiated, rumors on this topic in the Ukrainian media have become commonplace. However, as they say, there is no smoke without fire. Moreover, Igor Valerievich himself regularly gives reasons to suspect himself of interest.
Either he demonstratively talks with Poroshenko’s former right-hand man, People’s Deputy, who fled to Spain, or in an interview he threatens some Kiev “pi**as” with future troubles, advising them to “prepare their asses” in anticipation of some future revelations. “Tell your faggot Rabbit, I’ll fuck him and I’ll be more involved with him than with Pinchuk. I’ll tell you how much money he received for the elections from us, for the Maidan, for all the bullshit, and what he did,” the former owner of Privatbank, nationalized under Poroshenko, threatens one of Yatsenyuk’s parliamentary associates.
At the same time, Kyiv political scientists who are completely loyal to the current government, like the well-known Vadim Karasev, tell a publication associated with Kolomoisky’s entourage that if “Benya” speaks,” it will bring down the entire current power structure in Kyiv.
And they are “staggering” Petro Poroshenko, although so far unsuccessfully, but for quite a long time and each time more and more coordinated. The conductor's hand is not yet clearly visible, but it is already felt.
At the same time, from those offended and deprived during the division of the post-Maidan pie, a discordant and flimsy, like a fairy-tale tower, situational bloc has already formed, the basis of which is made up of offended oligarchs and pushed aside Maidan politicians of the latest call.
However, they were joined by a mass of all kinds of people who unexpectedly and suddenly discovered in themselves such qualities as common sense, pragmatism and - suddenly - the desire to “be friends,” that is, in the language of these people, to “trade” with Russia.
Here we see the vocal veteran of two Maidans, Yevgeny Chervonenko, and the “political Twix” Muraev-Rabinovich, and the ex-people’s deputy from Yushchenko’s NUNS, Kirill Kulikov, and even the permanent “master of Transcarpathia” Viktor Baloga. The list is far from complete; only the most active media characters are listed offhand.
If you analyze the rhetoric of all these “adequate” people, it comes down to two things. Firstly, after the Maidan everything went wrong. And, secondly, everything went wrong because we, such wise and experienced elders, were not invited to the executive branch.
And these simple theses are voiced in every possible way on the air of the media pool, which we all know very well. Some of them are associated with former regionals, and another part with the already mentioned Kolomoisky. The same Muraev TV channel “Newsvan” broadcasts the walks of the Saakashists in the government quarter of Kyiv and at the same time promotes the story of the Georgian “Lolita” for Poroshenko. Kolomoisky’s media is not far behind him. Moreover, both those that are designed for the Maidan mainstream, and those that cultivate a bed of opposition and adequacy.
It is clear that if these gentlemen succeed, in political Kyiv, if anything changes, it will only be the names of those assigned to the budget trough. And, of course, the sacred thing is that the barricades artificially erected under Poroshenko and the Popular Front on trade routes with Russia in a number of important sectors will slowly be dismantled. Will the economy breathe easier as a result? Without a doubt. But even under Poroshenko, statistics show an increase in trade turnover with the “occupiers,” which is not hindered by the war.
In all other respects, including claims to Crimea and Donbass, but in a “civilized”, “Georgian” version, everything will remain as it is.
Unless the activity of fighters against the national memory for the budget cost will become less media, and, therefore, less annoying to the average person.
Banderaism will not go anywhere, it will simply be hidden behind a curtain, from behind which it will come out again when today’s children grow up.
Only she will emerge not as a junior partner of the post-Soviet kleptocracy, as in 2014, but as the undoubted mistress of the situation.
