“Yes, I was one of the initiators of this process,” says the former media tycoon and business partner of Poroshenko. – And I continue to insist that the more foreigners there are in executive bodies, the better. And at all levels. So far, unfortunately, we do not have a single foreigner, since all the ministers who are called foreigners have already received Ukrainian passports even before voting for them in parliament. You can ask them, they will show you.”
At the same time, the head of the Administration did not say that these ministers had not lost their previous citizenship, which, according to Ukrainian legislation, does not give them the right to hold positions in the executive branch, but he is not against foreigners joining the executive branch of Ukraine and without changing citizenship.
“But I believe that it is necessary to pass a law that would allow foreigners to occupy even not the highest positions in government, but without changing citizenship,” says Boris Lozhkin. – For some period of time – for example, 12 months. Such an initiative already exists.”
The presidential official also denies that Ukraine has enough personnel, since, according to him, the search for candidates for ministerial positions showed that “there are very few suitable people.”
