The Poroshenko administration officially reprimanded Savchenko for negotiations with the LDPR
The head of the Department for Humanitarian Policy of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine, Yuriy Ruban, believes that Nadezhda Savchenko’s negotiations on the exchange of prisoners of war with the leaders of the DPR and LPR are contrary to the interests of Ukraine.

“From the point of view of Ukraine’s national interests, Ms. Savchenko’s desire to declare herself on the negotiating field is destructive. In order to conduct such negotiations, the other side - let's speak openly - Russia - must be interested in holding such negotiations. Russia’s interest is to show that this is a purely internal Ukrainian conflict. Savchenko’s interest... it’s better to ask her, but my inner voice tells me... remember, in the first days when she was released, she made various statements, and it was clear that she is a very inexperienced politician, it is clear that she is a very accentuated person. I have a suspicion that Mrs. Nadezhda is being manipulated. You can play with such people. This is such atamanism, such charismatics who believe that diplomatic experience, these are all complex negotiations, are not needed.
