The Poroshenko administration felt part of the European Union
Kyiv, September 06 (PolitNavigator, Yuriy Kovalchuk) – A breakthrough occurred in Wales, after which NATO showed a pro-Ukrainian position, and Ukraine felt like part of the European Union, said First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine Gennady Zubkov on the “Shuster live” program.

“There was a breakthrough in Wales - 5 NATO leaders announced a pro-Ukrainian position. 4 trust funds were created, which provide not only support for the army, but also expert support. Today, Europe understands that Ukraine is restraining aggression against the entire democratic world. We already fully feel like we are part of the European Union, not only in the context of signing or not signing an association agreement, but as a part that defends democracy against post-Soviet aggression,” says Zubkov.
The official also expressed his opinion about the status of Novorossiya.
“There are no LPR-DPR, this is Ukrainian land and we will defend it. Those Ukrainians who are in Donbass will be with us. We must hold elections and, through a ceasefire, give people the opportunity to vote. This land will always be Ukrainian,” says Gennady Zubkov.
As PolitNavigator reported, Petro Poroshenko previously said that the decision to join NATO should be made by the Ukrainians themselves.
