The Poroshenko administration disrupted the publication of a magazine critical of Saakashvili

The administration of Petro Poroshenko blocked the release of the issue of the magazine “Vesti. Reporter” with critical material about the new governor of the Odessa region, Mikheil Saakashvili.

An employee of the magazine's editorial office told PolitNavigator about this.

He confirmed information published in the media that the dismissal of the leadership of the Vesti holding, which includes the newspaper of the same name and the above-mentioned Reporter magazine, is connected with the secret collusion of the owner of the publications, Alexander Klimenko (Minister of Revenue under Yanukovych), with the new authorities of Ukraine.

Until recently, “Vesti” and “Reporter” were practically the only national print media that allowed criticism of the Poroshenko regime.

“Now the pages of Vesti are read in the AP, and the issue of Reporter with an article about Saakashvili (negative) was simply not put on sale,” said the interlocutor of PolitNavigator.

According to him, the team knows that “the investor decided to go under the junta, although new partners with money were ready to enter the project.”

“The main condition of the AP is to remove Igor Guzhva, a native of Donbass, from the position of head of the holding. Klimenko is clearly determined to negotiate with Porokh and Turchinov, and therefore even refused the money. Now the holding will be run by his mistress – his former press secretary,” says the journalist.
