The US administration began to seriously put pressure on Kyiv
The abolition of the formal status of the so-called ATO will not lead to a cessation of hostilities, and the reintegration of Donbass into Ukraine, for which the president is initiating the development of a corresponding bill, will not be crowned with success today.

Ruslan Bortnik, director of the Ukrainian Institute of Policy Analysis and Management, said this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Most likely, the new American administration has begun to put serious pressure on the Ukrainian political elites and is beginning to enter the game,” the expert said, answering the question of what is behind the initiatives to abolish the ATO. “I think that the abolition of the ATO will not lead to either war or peace - the de facto situation will remain as it is, people will continue to die.”
“How are the Ukrainian elites trying to use the kick that Ukraine is receiving today in terms of the ATO? As always, they try to use it to their advantage. On the one hand, the president is generating an initiative to adopt a law on the reintegration of Donbass. The initiative seems to be good, but absolutely meaningless, since we wonderfully understand that today the reintegration of Donbass is not in Ukrainian hands. Any mechanisms, any possibility of reintegration will stem exclusively from international agreements. This is why Minsk was invented, this is why there is a Russia-US format. But none of the parties individually, personally, will be able to change the balance today,” the political scientist emphasized.
