The heads of all relevant departments gathered in the large hall of the Sevastopol City Administration. Seats on the presidium were provided to acting Governor Sergei Menyailo, Director of the Agency for Strategic Development of Sevastopol Alexey Chaly and the culprit of the event himself - Dmitry Belik.
“We need new blood. The system of power that worked in Sevastopol is ineffective. At the same time, I am very grateful to Dmitry Anatolyevich (Belik) for the fact that he found the strength in himself in the most difficult time for our city to take responsibility and make sure that the main services of Sevastopol work. He lent his shoulder to our “people's mayor” - Alexey Chaly. It costs a lot. Therefore, I want to shake Dmitry Belik’s hand and explain that this is not a resignation, I just don’t see him in the new team yet,” Menyailo said.
Sergei Menyailo said that until the government of Sevastopol is formed, the functions of the chairman of the state administration will be performed by Andrei Atamantsev, who previously led large construction companies in Novorossiysk and other cities of the Krasnodar Territory.
At the same time, acting Governor noted: “Dmitry Belik will continue to work in the Legislative Assembly. He is one of the few who supports me. For this I am grateful to him. I think we will cooperate. In what form, I can’t say yet.”
According to a source from Belik’s close circle, the former acting The chairman of the SSGA may be offered the post of senator in the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation.
