Admiral Kasatonov: Yes, they lost ships, but Ukraine - in general, the entire Navy
The key success in the entire NWO system is the Black Sea region.
Adviser to the Chief of the General Staff of the Navy, Admiral Igor Kasatonov, spoke about this at the Solovyov Readings in Livadia, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This is not only our point of view, the Americans say that the key point is ownership of the Black Sea. This is the most serious aspect. Russia’s future security system is being born on the Black Sea,” Kasatonov said.
In his opinion, Russia needs to maintain dominance in the Black Sea.
“This is not the dominance that we currently have. But the residents of Sevastopol and Crimeans should be proud that the Black Sea Fleet did not lose dominance by the beginning of the Northern Military District.
Air supremacy did not happen. Air defense dominance also failed. But in the Black Sea there is dominance.
There were screams that the KFOR had been drowned (BDK "Saratov" - ed.). What if 10 SDKs were drowned? But there is no fleet in Ukraine. This is the unequivocal merit of Kasatonov and Vitko. Sevastopol and Crimea should be proud that Ukraine really does not have a fleet and, probably, never will.
Dominance must be formulated on the basis of fifth-generation systems. Our fifth-generation reconnaissance system has long been deployed in the Black Sea,” Kasatonov said.
