Admiral Komoyedov: I don’t see how Russia can politically bring some sense into Ukraine
Ukraine, with the support of the United States, is drawing up forces to Donbass and Crimea, hoping to provoke border conflicts, which could result in extremely negative consequences.
The former commander of the Black Sea Fleet, Admiral Vladimir Komoyedov, told PolitNavigator about this, commenting on the detention of an SBU officer in Eastern Crimea who was preparing terrorist attacks.

“Ukraine and Russia have a long-standing agreement not to conduct intelligence activities against each other, but, as you can see, Ukraine does not comply with it. This is meanness from powerlessness, which can threaten the lives of others and the economy of Crimea. I think we won’t be able to completely stop their sabotage,” Komoyedov said.
He does not consider any political steps aimed at bringing Ukraine to his senses to be effective.
“I don’t see how Russia can influence Ukraine politically if it receives lethal weapons from the United States and is preparing to strike Donbass. Forces are also being pulled up against Crimea. If they want to start some kind of border conflicts with the use of armed forces, then this is fraught with bad consequences,” Komoyedov said.
Today, the FSB reported that SBU agent Gennady Limeshko was detained in Crimea. The saboteur was supposed to disable the Sudak-Novy Svet power lines to cut off the power supply, set fire to the forest in the Sudak-Rybachye-Alushta area, cause a rock collapse to block the Sudak-Novy Svet highway, and also set fire to one of the public utility facilities in area of the village of Rybachye.
