Admiral Komoyedov: The Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol is delaying the granting of the title of honorary citizen to Luzhkov
The Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol is delaying the issue of granting ex-Moscow mayor Yuri Luzhkov the title of honorary citizen of the city for helping the Black Sea Fleet in the difficult years after the collapse of the USSR.
The head of the State Duma Defense Committee, ex-commander of the Black Sea Fleet Vladimir Komoyedov, whose assistant is Luzhkov, told PolitNavigator about this.

According to him, Luzhkov intends to take part in teleconferences with Sevastopol during the State Duma elections.
“Yuri Mikhailovich will not be able to come to Sevastopol, but will participate in teleconferences that will take place during the elections. I submitted a proposal to the legislative assembly to award him the title of honorary citizen of Sevastopol. He is an honorary citizen of Crimea, although he did more for Sevastopol and the Black Sea Fleet. But here instead of him is honorary citizen Leonid Kuchma. Justice needs to prevail. Now I’m waiting for an answer, like the nightingale of summer. Summer passes, but there is no solution. The Legislative Assembly in Sevastopol is one-party, which means it carries out the command by putting its hand to the headdress,” Komoyedov said.
