The commander of the 6th Fleet of the US Navy, Vice Admiral James Fogo, noted the low combat effectiveness of the Ukrainian army and recommended the Ukrainian Armed Forces to learn from the Georgian army.

Official representative of the DPR UNM Eduard Basurin spoke about this today during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Vice Admiral James Fogo assessed the performance of the Ukrainian Navy as “unsatisfactory” and recommended conducting a preliminary exercise in preparation for Sea Breeze 2019. In particular, the Ukrainian side was invited to take part in the command post exercise “Worthy Partner 2018”, which will take place from August 1 to 15 in Georgia. One can only imagine how weakly the Ukrainian Navy showed itself during the Sea Breeze 2018 exercises, that they were recommended to acquire combat skills from the Georgian army, which performed “excellently” during the invasion of South Ossetia in August 2008,” commented Eduard Basurin.
