Lawyer: The Poroshenko regime wants to hold on through violence
Violence is the only thing on which Petro Poroshenko’s regime rests, and with the help of which it plans to stay in power.
Lawyer Valentin Rybin stated this during a round table in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I want to speak out regarding radical organizations. We all know who lives in Kyiv. Driving along its central streets, we see how the facade of the House of Trade Unions, which was burned in February 2014, was recently opened. A year ago, a large sign with a broken chain and the inscription: “Freedom is our religion” was placed on the facade of this house. Then I walked past her with my father, and then it occurred to me that the word “freedom” should have been changed to the word “violence.” It is violence that is the religion of the current government. This must be understood absolutely clearly and understandably.
The events of November 2013-February 2014 were an outpouring of this violence, which came from those individuals who are now in power. And now the question is - do you think that as a result of the elections this government can be changed? Hitler also came to power as a result of elections, but he said goodbye to power in a different way,” the lawyer noted.
He is confident that there is now a high probability that the 2019 elections will not take place, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“They simply won’t be announced. The authorities do not intend to give up and do not intend to give in. It is the seed of violence that now keeps this power at the top. By spreading violence, promoting violence, intimidating people who are tired of violence, power can still hold on,” he noted.
“Right-wing radical organizations, in fact, are the albatrosses of the revolution of “dignity” that took place in 2014. This is the vanguard of the revolution, the violence of which was carried to the masses, who showed people how they can and should act, how they can and should kill, set fire and seize buildings,” Rybin said.
The human rights activist did not ignore the mocking detention of Brazilian militiaman Rafael Luzvarga by C14 militants on May 4, 2018.
