His lawyer Ruslan Chernolutsky told reporters about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports. According to him, Saakashvili's defense will appeal this requirement.
“The prosecutor’s office requests that Mikheil Saakashvili be subject to a preventive measure in the form of house arrest at Kostelnaya 7, apt. 32. For a period of two months. Our side, the defense side, is now preparing a protest for several hours; we will completely refute the preventive measure that the prosecutor’s office wants, as well as against all other preventive measures. We believe that this case is fabricated and has a political nature,” Chernolutsky said.
