This was stated by his lawyer Vitaly Serdyuk, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to the 112 Ukraine channel.

“The application has been submitted, the defense is awaiting its registration in accordance with the norms of current legislation,” he noted.

Serdyuk emphasized that the statement refers to deliberate, clearly organized actions aimed at harming Ukraine, and which consist of a violent seizure of power in the state.

“These actions led, according to the statement and deep conviction of the defense and Yanukovych, to negative actions in Crimea, Donbass and in the country in general. (Involved in them - ed.) is an organized group of people, including... Avakov, Klitschko, Lutsenko. Pay attention to the behavior of Lutsenko, who was called by the defense every time, but did not appear at the hearing when he saw his name among the witnesses. He made an official statement and provided a clear message that the video interrogation of Yanukovych would not take place. We are also talking about Nalyvaichenko, Parubiy, Pashinsky, Turchynov, Tyagnibok, Yatsenyuk and others,” he clarified.

Earlier, Yanukovych’s defense stated that they had submitted to the court the ex-president’s refusal from his lawyers. Yanukovych himself, in his video message, announced his refusal to participate in the “farcical trial”, in which his rights were violated.

As specified, the Obolonsky District Court of Kyiv today, July 6, will continue to consider the case of the former President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, accused of high treason, according to the court order.

According to him, the hearing on the Yanukovych case began at 10:00. It is being considered by a panel of three judges, including Vladislav Devyatko.
