Yanukovych's lawyer: It was necessary to arrest the “little green men” in Crimea
In 2014, the Ukrainian special services needed to immediately arrest all the “little green men” in Crimea, while the Russian authorities denied that they were involved in the appearance of armed people who took custody of the government and parliament buildings of the autonomy after the Mejlis pogrom that took place on February 26, 2014.
Vitaly Serdyuk, the lawyer of ex-President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych, told Hromadsky TV about this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If at the beginning of all the events of February 27, 2014, only 80 armed people, not recognized by Russia, seize our Council of Ministers and seize the Supreme Council...” the lawyer began, but was interrupted by the presenter, who asked about Russian special forces.
Serdyuk emphasized that this thesis was imposed on everyone by the Prosecutor General of Ukraine.
“The court does not want to examine Putin’s interview in which he says that the Russian military appeared on the territory of Crimea after the referendum. Before him - if you show the audience the full text of Churkin’s report, he says that there are no “little green men” who are seizing buildings. He denies their involvement.
Why was it not possible to detain at least one, not to take away the machine gun, not to interrogate, not to take away the documents? Because Crimea surrendered, and surrendered deliberately,” Serdyuk said.
