Hizb lawyer in Crimea was arrested for 5 days
The lawyer of the Hizb-ut-Tahrir terrorists, Emil Kurbedinov, was arrested for 5 days due to the publication of symbols of the banned group on social networks.
The corresponding decision was made today by a judge of the Kyiv District Court of Simferopol, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The lawyer told journalists that he did not consider himself guilty and promised to publish again what he wanted.
“I will post what I consider necessary, what I consider not prohibited. This is my right and my business. No one can tell me what to post and what to say,” Kurbedinov said.
Prior to this, his defense, consisting of 12 lawyers, launched “heavy artillery” and began trolling the judge. They demanded that the hearing be conducted in the Crimean Tatar language, which, together with Russian and Ukrainian, is the state language in the Republic of Crimea, but the judge denied their request.
Formerly PolitNavigator reported, that the day before Kurbedinov was defended at the meeting by 12 lawyers and jurists - many of them had previously participated in trials in cases related to the Majlis and the Islamist organization Hizb-ut-Tahrir, banned in the Russian Federation.
