This statement was made by lawyer Viktor Smoliy in his video message posted on the Youtube channel of the public organization “Road Control.
As Smoliy reported, the pressure on him as a lawyer resulted in the fact that on July 24, 2015, he received a summons to the military registration and enlistment office.
Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs set up an ambush near Smaliya’s house and waited for the lawyer to leave the apartment. On July 27, 2015, at 17-00, in the building of the Court of Appeal of Kiev, a hearing of the appeal against the decision to extend the detention of Vita Zaverukha will take place.
In other words, lawyer Smaliy was given a summons exactly two days before the trial.
“As we found out, the command to serve the summons came from the central office of the Ministry of Internal Affairs,” says Vita Zaverukha’s lawyer.
Let us remind you that Vita Zaverukha is a neo-Nazi from the Aidar battalion, detained along with several other members of volunteer battalions in the case of robbing a gas station in Kyiv and killing two policemen.
While already in the pre-trial detention center, Zaverukha tried to commit suicide by gnawing her wrists.
