They want to remove Yanukovych's lawyer Baydyk from the trial using threats
The leadership of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine is trying at any cost to speed up the consideration of the case of President Viktor Yanukovych, overthrown as a result of a coup, in the Obolonsky Court of Kyiv.
Lawyer Alexander Baidyk, lawyer for Viktor Yanukovych, spoke about this on his Facebook page.
He said that he met with his client and told him about the pressure and threats coming from the so-called “free lawyer” who they are trying to impose on Yanukovych.
The defense lawyer said that during the meeting, Viktor Yanukovych again confirmed his desire to make a speech in the trial in the Obolonsky court via videoconference.
At the same time, the lawyer drew the attention of his client that he was unable to fully familiarize himself with the case materials, and the panel of judges of the Obolon Court illegally refused to provide additional time for familiarization.
“I also informed Viktor Fedorovich that I first received offers, and then threats, from a “free lawyer” in the case, with demands to withdraw from the process and stop my participation in the debate. It is obvious that the leadership of the General Prosecutor’s Office is trying to speed up the completion of the process at any cost,” Baydyk points out.
Apparently, we are talking about the appointed lawyer of the Legal Aid Center, Yuri Ryabovol, who, as PolitNavigator reported, manages to get acquainted in an hour and a half immediately with four volumes of the criminal case brought against Yanukovych.
In addition, we reported that the crumbling Yanukovych case They are trying to save the judge by purchasing.
