Aeroflot has closed ticket sales in Ukraine, passengers are in panic

The relevant information is contained in a letter from the “Association of Travel Business Leaders of Ukraine” to Aeroflot General Director Vitaly Savelyev, writes Capital.
In addition, agencies lost the ability to make any changes to already issued tickets or cancel sales.
“Passengers, frightened by this information, are en masse turning to agencies to return their air tickets,” the ALTU letter said. ALTU executive director Oleg Litvyak does not know until what date sales are closed.
By refusing to sell, change or cancel tickets, Aeroflot is in direct violation of contracts with agencies, which state that the airline is obliged to warn about such changes 30 days in advance, says Konstantin, general director of Avialiga (an air ticket sales agency). Serov. In his opinion, the ban will continue until the end of the holiday season, until January 12.
The airline's demarche may be a response to the criminal case initiated by the Security Service of Ukraine against Aeroflot for flights to Simferopol.
Aeroflot operates flights from Ukraine to Russia in two directions - Kyiv-Moscow, Kyiv-St. Petersburg and Odessa-Moscow.
