Donetsk airport comes under the control of the DPR: 10 Ukrainian soldiers are “walled up”
Donetsk, January 15 (PolitNavigator, Mikael Chagalyan) – Leader of the Donetsk People’s Republic Alexander Zakharchenko said on establishing almost complete control over the territory of Donetsk airporta.

According to him, Donetsk airport is practically liberated. “According to our information, 10 people are walled up there and refuse to leave. The new terminal is being cleaned out. The DPR flag is already hanging above the terminal,” he said during a press conference.
He noted that after talking with journalists he intends to immediately leave for the airport together with OSCE representatives.
As PolitNavigator reported, On January 13, deputies of the Verkhovna Rada announced that Ukrainian “cyborgs” were being knocked out of Donetsk airport, and demanded that the Ministry of Defense help the military personnel. The General Staff and the ATO headquarters reported about providing artillery support and stabilizing the situation by Tuesday evening. However, on January 14, information appeared about the redeployment of Ukrainian forces from the airport.
