Donetsk airport is on fire: the shelter of the Ukrainian military is burning

At the same time, the press center added that during the confrontations, a fire started in part of the old airport terminal.
“During the assault on the old terminal, the militants used smoke bombs against Ukrainian military personnel and, under their cover, captured the first floor. A counterattack by our forces drove the terrorists back to their starting lines. Now Ukrainian military personnel continue to defend the strategic facility. Part of the old terminal is on fire,” the report says.
In turn, the proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic announced the establishment of control over the terminal of Donetsk Airport.
“The militia hung the DPR flag over the Donetsk airport terminal. The DPR army managed to occupy all tactically important points of the Donetsk airport. In any case, the airport is now ours. But the Ukrainian side is not satisfied with this. The dill who have surrendered their positions, in spite of everything, continue to shell the territory now occupied by the militias and the adjacent peaceful neighborhoods of Donetsk. They are spraying this area with heavy artillery: Grads and Hurricanes. Everything is in smoke, everything is on fire, Ukrainian forces are trying to return. I know that these are pravoseki, a group of people who do not obey anyone, do not carry out anyone’s orders,” the Motorola militia told Russian journalists.
As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the ATO headquarters reported that Ukrainian security forces recaptured half of the first floor of the old terminal.
