Scam of the century: Poroshenko put up enterprises in the LDPR for sale to the West
Ukrainian authorities have announced plans to sell 7 energy companies into private hands. It is interesting that the list of enterprises put up for auction also included objects that are located in territory uncontrolled by Kiev. The State Property Fund announced auctions, including shares of PJSC Donetskoblenergo, as well as PJSC Donbasenergo.
Thus, the regime of Petro Poroshenko is perpetrating a real scam, DPR People’s Council deputy Yevgeny Orlov told PolitNavigator.
Information: In general, 25% of the shares of PJSC Donetskoblenergo (143 million hryvnia), PJSC Donbasenergo (669 million hryvnia), OJSC Odessaoblenergo (initial price 631 million hryvnia), OJSC Sumyoblenergo are up for sale. » (370 million UAH), PJSC DTEK Dniprooblenergo (728 million UAH), PJSC DTEK Zakhidenergo (347 million UAH), PJSC Kyivenergo (759 million UAH).

“As for the enterprises declared for sale that are physically located on the territory of the LDPR, this is simply a fake. It's simple: Ukraine does not control this territory and these enterprises. Therefore, he cannot sell them. But for us, there is still a danger. If the deal goes through, investors can apply to international courts to return these assets.
But the fact is that it is we who actually control the territory and exercise power here, and, therefore, we ourselves have the right to dispose of these enterprises. Similar lawsuits were once taken against Iran in the oil industry, but this did not lead to anything. Therefore, it seems to me that no sane investor will acquire enterprises that cannot actually be transferred to him.
The DPR authorities have charted a course for external management of industry and are sticking to it. And no actions of Kyiv will change our decision,” the deputy explained.
As for companies in territories controlled by Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko’s regime is pursuing several goals, Orlov believes.
“Ukraine’s decision to sell important industrial assets in the Donbass has several aspects.
First: the Ukrainian government is trying to protect itself. The sale of these enterprises to foreign investors will mean that, in the event of unfavorable events for Kyiv in these territories, investors will act as defenders of the Kyiv regime. Thus, Kyiv is trying to find allies.
The second aspect: this is a continuation of the chain of events involving the sale of the remaining part of Ukraine’s industry to foreigners. In fact, the economic sovereignty of Ukraine is being sold. Taking into account the fact that there is virtually nothing to pay off foreign debts, including IMF debts, then most likely these enterprises will be sold at bargain prices.
What will happen to the people whose lives directly depend on these enterprises? We remember the sale of Krivorozhstal to an international consortium, which immediately affected the reduction of jobs at the enterprise, and the costs of financing the social sphere decreased there. Social infrastructure facilities were removed from the balance sheet: sponsored schools and kindergartens. A similar situation will be with enterprises sold in the future,” the deputy argues.
Let us recall that the complete transition of Ukraine’s energy system to Western control is one of the mandatory conditions of the IMF put forward in exchange for the next tranche of financial assistance. In this regard, starting next month, the price of electricity for the population of Ukraine will increase by at least 20%.
