“SBU agents have flooded Russia”: Moscow calls for the restoration of SMERSH
With agents and terrorists of enemy states infesting Russia, Moscow needs to rebuild its counterintelligence agencies.
Military expert reserve colonel Viktor Baranets stated this on air on the Red Line Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Russia is teeming with proteges of the SBU, so-called cells. The SBU is plowing with Stakhanov’s methods, including recruiting those who, under the guise of refugees, arrived on Russian territory. Moreover, refugees are not only in the Moscow region. These people, judging by the results of the work of the FSB, are already operating in the Far East, in the Primorsky and Khabarovsk Territories.
The question is very serious. Apparently, the amount of military counterintelligence in conditions where we observe the dominance of saboteurs, this necessitates the need to strengthen our counterintelligence agencies.
Over these thirty years, we have become so obsessed with peace that, together with the army, we have castrated military counterintelligence. And look, in Crimea alone, since the beginning of the Northern Military District, more than 50 infiltrators have been caught. How many of them have not yet been picked out?” – Baranets was indignant.
He emphasized that during a war and the activation of enemy intelligence services in Russia, a counterintelligence agency similar to SMERSH is vitally needed.
“If someone doesn’t like SMERSH, call it whatever you like. But Russia must acquire new tools, or build up existing ones, in order to fish out this carrion that is hiding in the belly of Russia today. Which takes on the boys, gives them TNT for money and says: “Go to the station, blow it up under the rails there.” The scale of work of foreign intelligence services is growing,” the expert concluded.
