Agrarian Ukraine will be sent to the margins of history - ex-minister
The future of Ukraine with the current course towards an “agrarian superpower” is the backwaters of history. “Nezalezhnaya” is doomed to turn into a country without an elite and education.
Ex-Minister of Finance of Ukraine, former deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Igor Yushko stated this on the Internet channel “Echo of Kyiv,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Yushko, Ukraine in this case will repeat the path of Argentina, which was unable to recover from the economic crisis of the late 90s and was mired in debts and loans.
“The place that Ukraine has been assigned today as a great agricultural power is absolutely clear – it is the backwaters of history. Here, the great agricultural power is Argentina. We remember well, from the default of 2000 to today - these are the most expensive borrowings in the world, the constant instability of the national currency...
This is not just a dead end, it is the outskirts of history, not even economic history, but simply the outskirts of history. The great agrarian future does not require either education or any elite knowledge, in the correct understanding of the word. If we are being led to this, then it is very sad,” Yushko said.
