Kyiv, January 03 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – The festive concert of Russian stars, shown by the Inter TV channel and causing a serious scandal in Kyiv, became the leader in audience on New Year's Eve.

Thus, the share of Inter’s audience on New Year’s Eve was 25,2%. The closest rival, “1+1,” collected only 21,6%. In third place was TRK “Ukraine” (6,5%), followed by STB (3,9%) and ICTV (3,8%).
“Inter” itself issued a statement that after the ongoing persecution, it made a decision in favor of the “lesser evil” - it decided to take off the air all entertainment programs during the holidays, some of these programs also featured Russian stars. At the same time, the channel's management emphasized that the hysteria over the New Year's concert has no basis - the program did not violate any laws of Ukraine.
Earlier, the head of the Security Council of Ukraine, Alexander Turchynov, called Inter’s New Year’s night broadcast “a mockery of the entire country.” The Minister of Culture of Ukraine Vyacheslav Kirilenko called for “cutting off the Inter button.” Minister of Information of Ukraine Yuriy Stets initiates a ban on the appearance in Ukrainian media of persons who are prohibited from entering Ukraine.
