The laying of pipes along the first line of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline has been completed.
Russian President Vladimir Putin said this today, speaking at the St. Petersburg Economic Forum, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I am glad to announce that just today, two and a half hours ago, the laying of the first line of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline was successfully completed. Work on the second line continues,” Putin said.
After these words were spoken, the price of Gazprom shares reached a new high since 2008.
“This is our personal Elon Musk,” commented the scandalous TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak, recalling the collapse of cryptocurrencies after the recent statements of the American entrepreneur.
“I wonder what the experts will say now (and we remember all of them by name) who claimed that Nord Stream 2 will never be completed?” political scientist Alexey Chesnakov asked in his Telegram channel.
