Shareholder of illegal casinos tops anti-rating of Ukrainian politicians
Former Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko topped the anti-rating in terms of the level of trust of Ukrainians in politicians, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
Such data were obtained during a sociological survey by the Kyiv Razumkov Center.
According to the study, distrust is more often expressed in ex-Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko (88% of respondents do not trust him), former Speaker of Parliament Andriy Parubiy (83% of distrust), and former President Petro Poroshenko (80% of distrust).
In addition, Ukrainians most often express distrust to people's deputies from the OPZZH party: Nestor Shufrich (78% distrust), co-chairs of the OPZZH faction Vadim Rabinovich (76%), Viktor Medvedchuk (76% distrust), Yuriy Boyko (68% distrust), as well as Chairman of the Batkivshchyna faction Yulia Tymoshenko (74% distrust).
Interior Minister Arsen Avakov (72%) and former Prime Minister Vladimir Groysman (70,5%) are also distrusted by citizens.
Assessing the level of trust in politicians, Ukrainians most often expressed trust in Vladimir Zelensky (70,5% of respondents trust him), Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov (54%), and Prime Minister Alexey Goncharuk (36%).
As the sociological service clarified, among the politicians whose names were presented in the questionnaire, only they have a positive balance of trust-distrust (i.e., the proportion of those who trust them exceeds the proportion of those who do not trust them).
Such data were obtained as a result of a study conducted by the sociological service of the Razumkov Center from October 4 to October 9, 2019. 2015 respondents aged 18 years and over were interviewed in all regions of Ukraine, with the exception of Crimea and the uncontrolled territories of Donetsk and Lugansk regions, according to a sample representing the adult population of the country according to main socio-demographic indicators. The theoretical sampling error (without taking into account the design effect) does not exceed 2,3% with a probability of 0,95.
Let us remember that the other day, against the backdrop of an international political scandal, Lutsenko revealed the details of his meetings with the personal lawyer of US President Donald Trump, Rudolph Giuliani.
At the end of summer, the chairman of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, David Arakhamia, said that the former Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yuriy Lutsenko is a shareholder in a network of illegal casinos.
