The “Immortal Regiment” rally will be held in Minsk, contrary to reports from pro-Western media about the ban on the march by the mayor’s office. One of the organizers of the action, Sergei Lushch, told PolitNavigator about this.
“Unfortunately, the information disseminated by some media about the authorities banning the rally was not reliable. This was confirmed by a personal meeting with the Chairman of the Minsk City Executive Committee Andrei Shorts, which took place today. The question was of a purely technical nature and was directly related to the timing of the event. Alas, the speeches of some activists of the action were misinterpreted and distorted. And nationalist odious Internet resources took advantage of this,” Lushch said.
