The Navalnists’ rally ended in a resounding failure
Yesterday's flashlight rally in support of opposition blogger Alexei Navalny failed.
Even Navalny’s own websites were unable to present photos and videos that showed many people, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In the regions, only individual people came out; in Moscow, groups of a maximum of 40 people gathered.
The most widespread was the feminist rally on Arbat in Moscow, which brought together 239 women. Pro-Kremlin activists trolled the participants by handing out roses and blankets.
“Well then. Herr Volkov failed the protest. The attempt to organize actions “with flashlights” seems to have failed completely. This is what happens when you organize protests for money and according to manuals. Thus, Volkov will not be able to sell the remains of the “grid” to the communists. They will not buy non-working structures.
The dude wanted to “show off the goods” by sticking to Valentine’s Day, but it didn’t work out. The owner will not praise now. And Volkov’s prospects of calling the name of the protest – a “gold mine” – are fading. We had great hopes for Sofia Embankment (in front of the British Embassy) and here we screwed up,” wrote political scientist Alexey Mukhin in his Telegram channel.
“There is no point in talking about the opposition rally that took place today. Or it didn't happen. As anyone likes. Its result was a foregone conclusion. UG. Very sad g... Even those who came out did not show any noticeable enthusiasm. The question is, what will Volkov now “create” as his next action? A second mistake in a row with the format could turn the protests led by Volkov from an object of mockery into an object of ridicule,” political expert Alexey Chesnakov wrote in turn.
