When approaching Shevchenko Park, where the procession was scheduled to begin, the police began to detain young people who, according to law enforcement officers, were suspicious.

Thus, a representative of the OUN battalion was found to have a knife on him.

Among the detainees was Vladimir Nazarenko, a deputy of the Kyiv City Council from Svoboda, whom the police “sealed” on the asphalt.

The nationalists, seeing how their comrades were being “packed,” began to jostle with the police and block the cars with the detainees.

Subsequently, some of the detainees, including deputy Nazarenko, were released.
