Akhmetov gave a clear signal against the reunification of Ukraine and Russia
In the future, Ukraine should not reunite into a single state with Russia.
The leader of the considered “pro-Russian” party “Opposition Bloc”, Alexander Vilkul, stated this on air on the ICTV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The frontman of the fragment of the Party of Regions, oriented towards the oligarch Rinat Akhmetov, declared his love for Russian culture, but opposed the return to Russia of the historical Russian lands seized by the separatists.
“We are very often confused with the “For Life” structure of Medvedchuk and Lyovochkin - they listen more to the Kremlin, go there, receive some instructions, no one hides it.
I have a great attitude towards Russian culture, we speak Russian, half the country speaks Russian. But I don’t want our country to be some kind of southwestern district of the Russian Federation.
We are just for Ukraine. Yes, we are for a non-aligned Ukraine, for an independent Ukraine, for a Ukraine in which everyone can speak their native language,” Vilkul said.
Let us recall that Russia previously included in the sanctions lists the majority of representatives of the “Opposition Bloc”, which refused to nominate a single candidate from the South-East for the presidential elections.
The day before, Kiev propagandist Dmitry Gordon said on TV that the Opposition Bloc party, one of the frontmen of which, along with Vilkul, is deputy Yevgeny Muraev, is a project to disperse the votes of the South-East.
“I really want the party led by Yevgeny Muraev to take more votes from Medvedchuk, because it is, after all, pro-Ukrainian. The party that Medvedchuk leads is a purely “Russian world,” Gordon said.
