Political scientist Alexei Garan stated this on the air of the Kyiv TV channel “TBi”.
“I have a question for the local elite, the former elite. Was she playing these games too much? There would be no separatism in Donetsk, Lugansk, if not Akhmetov, if not Efremov! They took the appropriate position - quite influential people, despite the fact that they draw caricatures of Efremov, I have not seen Akhmetov... But he is, of course, a respected person in Donetsk. But now his position is unclear to me,” the expert noted.
“They are trying to negotiate concessions from Kyiv. This is clear to me. But when the Russian “little green men” already appear, it seems to me that the game has gone too far. Indeed, if this scenario follows the proclamation of some republics, and they hold referendums and turn to Lavrov and Putin with a request to send troops, what will happen to Akhmetov’s business? Therefore, I would like him to take a clearer position,” emphasized Alexei Garan.
