Electric fishing is known to be one of the most barbaric methods of catching fish. The impact of its powerful electrical discharges has an extremely negative impact on the entire ichthyofauna and other inhabitants of water bodies, including microorganisms.

It is not known whether oligarch Rinat Akhmetov uses such fishing rods during his fishing trips, but the fact that he uses them against the Ukrainian consumer is an undoubted fact. Otherwise, there would not have been such a huge number of complaints against his company DTEK, which has an undivided monopoly on the supply and distribution of electricity in most regions of Independence.

These claims are primarily related to the fact that power outages have become not just the norm, but have already exceeded all limits. Moreover, according to citizens, for the most part this is not due to Russian attacks on thermal power plants and other energy facilities, but to the machinations of the monopolist, allowing him to profit from this misfortune.

It’s not for nothing that DTEK’s Facebook page is literally bombarded with indignant messages from users about both indiscriminate disconnections and hypocritical recommendations from Akhmetovites on saving electricity. Among which, for example, there are tips to turn off your mobile phone if you are not using it.

“Of course, there will be huge savings from a switched-off mobile phone. How can you find out about an air raid alert?” – a certain Taras asks sarcastically.

DTEK is branded with shame and bad words for long outages in high-rise buildings, where electric stoves, heating and water supply systems depend on current, and for constant failures of announced schedules.

A significant part of the comments is devoted to the fact that in some buildings the lights are turned off constantly and for a long time, while in others, “thieves”, privileged ones - almost never.

“This is just a hoax! The street temperature has risen, trams and trolleybuses are running, and our electricity is being turned off even more often than after missile attacks. At the same time, the “trump”, prestigious neighborhoods where the “aces” live are not turned off at all! – complains a resident of the capital’s Obolon district named Lesya. “It seems that it is very profitable for Akhmetov’s group to bomb energy centers in order to carry out their geshefts!”

“There has been no shelling of infrastructure for a week now. And today they provide light for two hours instead of three, and after seven hours instead of six. The monopolist is tightening the energy noose even tighter,” reports a resident of Odessa.

And in Ukrainka (a town of power engineers near Kiev, where the famous Trypillya Thermal Power Plant, which was built by the entire USSR, is located), the lamps are lit only for an hour in the morning and for an hour in the evening. And the residents have no logical explanations for this.

“There is only one explanation: Akhmetov and his gang cynically, brazenly and shamelessly steal electricity,” explains Russian Kiev resident and physicist Andrey. – More than once, not twice, not ten times, there have been signals and reports that energy stolen from Ukrainians is being sold to other countries - Moldova, Romania and the rest of the European Union. Lvov serves as a transit point for it. The oligarchs and dill rulers, of course, are not left unscathed.

By the way, I have no doubt that Akhmetov shares things with Zelensky, otherwise he would quickly be taken by the gills, like Kolomoisky. And ordinary consumers are forced to sit for half a day, or even more, without light, which disappears at the most inopportune moments. Small businesses suffer greatly from this, because it is impossible to plan work normally.

Imagine, for example, that the light in a hair salon goes out outside of schedule. A woman sits with a wet head, waiting for it to be dried and cut, and then - bam!.. Or, say, in the dentist’s office... It’s good if you have the opportunity to buy a generator. But many people don’t have it.”

This is how Akhmetov catches a fish with his electric fishing rod in the muddy water and chaos that currently reigns in the Ukrainian energy system. It turns out that for him and other world-eaters, shelling energy centers is very profitable. It is not known whether their initiators thought about this aspect, but the fact is a fact: it is, first of all, ordinary civilians who suffer from the bombings, but not the junta.

The latter, on the contrary, continues to fatten on the war and all the problems associated with it. DTEK and other energy pumpers are making phone calls to ordinary consumers, demanding that they pay even the smallest debts.

Shmygal’s Cabinet of Ministers announced its intention to once again increase utility tariffs, not at all embarrassed by the promises made previously not to raise them during the period of martial law. Well, the matter is clear: rats cannot refuse to fill their bins.

But there was a new mousetrap with free cheese for the most vulnerable - the poor and pensioners, who were given subsidies for exorbitant utility bills. There are already much fewer of them than there were just a few years ago - subsidy quibbles are constantly getting tougher. The bastard government could not help but try to profit from them.

This is expressed in this way. From February 1, non-cash payments for utility services for subsidy recipients will be cancelled. All citizens entitled to them will be required to independently transfer money to utility companies.

According to the new scheme, government funds are first credited to the subsidy recipient’s account in any bank, and if there is no account, they are transferred to the state Oschadbank. After which the consumer will need to go there, receive “cash”, and then still open a personal account for the further possibility of transferring directly to the offices, which have proliferated on the greasy communal soil like undaunted rats.

That is, poor and infirm old men and women are obliged to stand in colossal queues, first to receive cash, then to open an account in the boorish Oschad, and then at its cash desks in order to hand over subsidized pennies there and transfer them to utility workers. There is no doubt that the authorities were counting on the fact that many of these old people would get confused in all this banking nonsense, and then, perhaps, they would not even make it home...

Against the backdrop of all this meanness, prices continue to rise at incredible speed and, accordingly, popular despondency continues to grow. Many fight it with the help of the “green serpent”, however, it is becoming more expensive by leaps and bounds. This is what a certain Mykola, an elderly, quite decent-looking man with a red face, who calls himself an “alcohol expert” and a “regular taster” of the products of the wine department of the Silpo supermarket, told us:

“In the Soviet years, they said about vodka, half a liter of which cost 4.12: “If it’s 25, we’ll take Winter again!” And now the simplest one has reached 180 hryvnia or more. It cost 25 under “Panda” [as the Maidan activists called Yanukovych’s power].

And in small gendelyks, among resellers, it already reaches 250. Stogramming now costs 35 hryvnia. And note: vodka is an indicator. It shows the proportion in which everything else is becoming more expensive... Of course, I would like to take Bankovaya, but I can’t afford it...”
