Berdyansk, February 26 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – Rinat Akhmetov’s Metinvest group intends to rent the Berdyansk airfield in order to transport specialists to Mariupol.

According to the head of the Metinvest media relations department, Vladimir Ravinsky, the airfield and runway are in poor condition, the company is ready to rent them even under such conditions.
“The Metinvest group is ready to restore it in order to establish charter flights to transport specialists (including from Europe) to Mariupol,” Ravinsky said.
Note that local authorities require the company to obtain permits from the SBU, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Defense and the governor in order to avoid possible security risks.
