Akhmetov has surpassed Firtash in terms of influence on the new Verkhovna Rada
Kyiv, November 12 (PolitNavigator, Vladimir Raichenko) – The former head of the presidential administration under Yanukovych, Sergei Levochkin, who became a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada on the lists of the “Opposition Bloc,” will not be able to regain his former influence, since he does not have a sufficient number of deputies under his control for this.
The Kiev weekly “Business Capital” writes about this, indicating that out of 29 lists of the “Opposition Bloc” (OB) entering parliament, only seven people belong to the so-called gas lobby, focused on the company “RosUkrEnergo” (RUE) of the oligarch Dmitry Firtash , with whom Sergei Levochkin is associated. These, in addition to Levochkin himself, are number one on the list: Yuri Boyko, Sergei Larin, cousin of the ex-head of the Administration Yulia Levochkina, former head of Firtash’s security Ivan Mirny, Yuri Miroshnichenko and Mikhail Papiev.

“But the main characters in the OB will be the Akhmetovites, together with former associates of Putin’s godfather Viktor Medvedchuk in the SDPU (o), personified by Mikhail Dobkin and Nestor Shufrich,” the publication is confident.
To the seven representatives of the Firtash-Levochkin group on the list, the weekly reminds, four more majoritarians will be added to the parliament: Ivan Fursin, Evgeniy Bakulin, Sergei Dunaev and Yuliy Ioffe. But this does not save the situation for the RUE group.
“If the “gas” group had at least some fullness, and not a few dozen parliamentary mandates, people from the parliamentary swamp would probably be drawn to Lyovochkin,” believes “Business Capital”. “And so the self-nominated majoritarians will either have to deal with Rinat Akhmetov, or, more likely, they will quietly cooperate with the ruling coalition...”
