Akhmetov buys Dneprodzerzhinsk coking plant from Abramovich’s Evraz

Kyiv, December 15 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The Dutch “Metinvest BV” of the holding company of the “Metinvest” group of Rinat Akhmetov and Vadim Novinsky is buying the Dneprodzerzhinsk coke plant from the Evraz holding company of Roman Abramovich.

This is stated in a communication from the Committee for Protection of Competition of Serbia.

According to the message, the Committee granted permission to Metinvest BV to purchase 94,5536% of the Dneprodzerzhinsky Coke Chemical Plant.

Metinvest applied to the Serbian department for permission at the end of October this year. The report also notes that Metinvest may buy the remaining 4,4464% of the Dneprodzerzhinsky Coke Plant in the near future.

Let us remind you that Dneprodzerzhinsky Kokzokhim specializes in the production of coke and is part of the Evraz Group, which bought the enterprise from Privat in 2007.
