Kyiv, October 15 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – In October 2014, the richest man in Ukraine, Rinat Akhmetov, dropped 21 positions in the Bloomberg Billionaires Index – from 88th to 109th place.

At the same time, Bloomberg estimates the oligarch’s fortune at $10,5 billion. At the same time, in January 2013, Bloomberg estimated Rinat Akhmetov’s fortune at $22 billion.

The agency's analysts attribute such a sharp decline in the fortune of Akhmetov, who was the only Ukrainian billionaire in the Bloomberg top 100 ranking, with events in Ukraine, as well as with the crisis in the metals market.

As PolitNavigator reported, earlier the leadership of the proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic stated the need to nationalize Akhmetov's assets in the Donbass.
