Akhmetov has lost his orientation in space: without the support of Donbass, he will lose everything, - political scientist
Donetsk, May 20 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – Rinat Akhmetov, calling for a fight against supporters of the Donetsk Republic, is trying to manipulate the masses to achieve his goals.

Political scientist, consultant to the government of the “Donetsk People’s Republic” Roman Manekin told Navigator.
“I carefully read yesterday’s “emergency” statement by Rinat Leonidovich. In my opinion, in it he is still trying to manipulate the masses to achieve understandable goals. On the one hand, he seems to be against Kyiv, but much more against the common people,” said the agency’s interlocutor.
“Akhmetov signs a political verdict in Donbass. Oligarchs are not loved anywhere. Especially on the mining outskirts. You can try to come to an agreement and intimidate the DPR leadership: we are all human, after all. But a new subject of politics has emerged - the people. It will no longer be possible to drive people into mines and blast furnaces without offering anything in return,” the political scientist emphasized.
He noted that such actions take place under duress: people can be gathered for them under the threat of dismissal. The DPR does not lose anything during strikes: taxes are not yet transferred to the republic’s treasury.
In his opinion, Rinat Akhmetov needs to “think about where to store capital.”
“Instead of helping to calm the situation, it throws up unnecessary sparks. One gets the impression that he has lost his orientation in space and his sense of time. His reaction is a miscalculation. He has done a lot for Donbass, but by opposing himself to it, he will lose everything. Capital doesn't matter. What matters is credit – trust. He will not become a friend to the people of Kiev, but he will be a stranger here too,” Manekin emphasized.
According to him, an indirect advantage of Akhmetov’s statement was that he admitted that he is not associated with the DPR, thus refuting the accusations against the DPR leadership about bribery by the oligarch.
As Navigator reported, yesterday Rinat Akhmetov called on Donbass for open-ended protests against the “Donetsk People’s Republic.” In particular, its enterprises will sound a special beep at 12:00, and in Mariupol, Metinvest enterprises will stop operating non-essential services for three hours.
