Akhmetovites lay down in stacks under Poroshenko
During the current election campaign, Ukrainian politicians associated with the oligarch Rinat Akhmetov sold themselves wholeheartedly to the still-current President Petro Poroshenko.
Ukrainian political scientist Vasily Vakarov stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Yesterday Poroshenko signed a law increasing the duty on imports of scrap metal for two years. The import price was 42 euros, now it will be 58. What does this mean and why did he sign it yesterday? Metallurgists - read oligarch Pinchuk and oligarch Akhmetov - have been lobbying for this bill for a long time. He [Poroshenko] paid, or rather, returned what they promised him and did in the first round,” noted the Ukrainian political scientist.
“It seems to me that even if Zelensky wins the elections, Petro Poroshenko will still become president. Why: because today, by the 20th, all the guys with earnings who live in Lviv, Ternopil, Ivano-Frankivsk will arrive for Catholic Easter, and we will see the numbers not 65-68, but 80-82 percent, we have already seen this .
Second. The fact that we see a conspiracy of oligarchs and the law that I spoke about has been signed, it was signed for a reason. Because there is already information about how Mr. Vilkul and other heads of the Metinvest and DTEK enterprises, which belong to Akhmetov, tell them (voters - ed.) that no need to go to the polls. That is, turnout will decrease.
And the third question: there remains one more oligarch Pinchuk, about whom I spoke. Because if Western Ukraine gives 10 percent, Eastern Ukraine gives 10 percent, but it won’t come, leaving about 18-19 percent. If Mr. Pinchuk asks the singer Vakarchuk to come out with a proposal and say: “Boys, Fatherlandism is in danger. Let’s put aside all our disputes, our misunderstandings, vote for Poroshenko,” he will receive 18 percent,” Vakarov said.
