Aksenov will not formally lead the Crimean self-defense
Simferopol, November 12 (PolitNavigator, Evgeniy Andreev) – At a meeting on Wednesday, the State Council of Crimea brought the provisions of the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On the People’s Militia - the People’s Guard of the Republic of Kazakhstan” in accordance with the legislation of the Russian Federation.

The norm stating that the people's militia of Crimea is created by the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Kazakhstan has been removed from the current edition. From now on, the militia is created, reorganized or liquidated in the manner determined by the provisions of the Federal Law “On the Participation of Citizens in the Protection of Public Order.” It will not be led by the Council of Ministers, but by commanders elected by members of the people's squads in agreement with the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Also excluded is the rule that the Crimean Republican Headquarters of the People's Militia is established by the Council of Ministers as a state government institution, and acquires the rights of a legal entity from the date of state registration.
The functions of appointment and dismissal of the chief of staff of the people's militia remain with the head of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
